TD Garden

TD Garden, often referred to as Boston Garden the second or simple, The Garden, is a multi-purpose arena located in Boston, Massachusetts. It is named after its sponsor, TD Bank. The arena opened in 1995 to stand-in for the original Boston Garden. TD Garden has also been known as FleetCenter, and TD Banknorth Garden. The arena is located right above the MBTA’s North Station.
The arena is home of the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association as well as the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Furthermore, other than hosting NBA and NHL games, the arena has also welcomed major sporting events such as the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball regional first and second rounds, the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight, United States Figure Skating Championships, and other notable events.
