State Farm Arena
The State Farm Arena, formerly known as Philips Arena, is a multi-purpose venue in Atlanta, Georgia. The actual site for sports and entertainment events of the arena is currently being remodeled with a more traditional stadium configuration for the 2018-10 NBA season. It will bring new premium seating areas, a new center-hung video board, and new commercial sites. The renovations are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018, probably before the Hawks’ NBA match against the Dallas Mavericks.
The State Farm Arena serves as the current home site for the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA. It previously handled the Atlanta Thrashers of the NHL from 1999 to 2011 and the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA from 2008 to 2016. The largest crowd ever for a basketball game at the arena was the Game 6 of the 2008 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals where Hawks faced the Boston Celtics, recording a total of 20,425 audience attendance.
