Stamford Bridge

Located in Fulham, South-West, London, Stamford Bridge is the home ground of Chelsea FC. The stadium stands within the Moor Park Estate also known as Walham Green and is often referred to as The Bridge. The stadium can host 41,631 fans, making it the eight largest ground in the 2017/18 Premier League season. The club plans to increase the capacity to 63,000 by the 2023/24 season. Stamford Bridge has also been a venue for England international matches, FA Cup Finals, FA Cup semifinals, and Charity Shield games.

Inaugurated in 1877, the stadium was once used by the London Athletic Club until 1905, when the new owner Gus Mears founded Chelsea Football Club to occupy the ground. The club played their home games in Stamford Bridge ever since, witnessing several major changes over the years, most recently in the 1990s when the structure was turned into a modern, all-seater stadium.
