Soldier Field

Soldier Field

The Soldier Field is used as a site for many sporting events and competitions. It has served as a venue for the 1994 FIFA World Cup, 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and CONCACAF Gold Cup. Teams from major leagues found a home within its field, including the University of Notre Dame football, the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer, and the Chicago Cardinals of the NFL. In addition, the stadium is also home to the NFL team Chicago Bears.

After outgrowing the relatively slow venue of Wrigley Field, the Chicago Bears moved to Soldier Field, an American football stadium in Illinois that was once listed as a National Historic Landmark when it was named after the 1925 U.S. soldiers. More than that, it became the second-oldest stadium in NFL in 2016.
