Originally built by Werner March for the 1936 Summer Olympics, the Olympiastadion is a sports stadium located in Berlin, Germany. Today, the stadium is part of the Olympiapark Berlin and serves as the home ground for Bundesliga club Hertha BSC. It is the largest stadium in Germany for international football matches. Under the UEFA category four stadium, it is one of the world’s most prestigious venues for sports and entertainment events.

The stadium’s grounds are dedicated for football and athletics. It hosted the 1974 and 2006 FIFA World Cup, the German Cup, the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final. Because of these notable events, the Olympiastadion was able to achieve the world record attendance for a baseball game during the 1936 Olympics. The number of attendees was over 100,000.
