Moda Center

The Moda Center is an indoor sports arena in Portland, Oregon. It’s originally known as the Moda Center at the Rose Quarter because it’s supposed to reflect Portland’s reputation as the Rose City and to highlight the importance of the state’s basketball heritage. Two of the unique features inside the arena are the “Theater of the Clouds” configuration which is used for more intimate events and the “Acoustical Cloud” feature where a set of 160 rotating acoustic panels are suspended from the ceiling to amplify the fans’ cheers for basketball events.
The venue is owned by Vulcan Inc., and it’s being used as the home venue of the NBA’s Portland Blazers and the Western Hockey League’s Portland Winterhawks. Occasionally, the Portland State University men’s basketball team also play their home games here. When it’s not sports season, the Moda Center is open for rodeos, circuses, conventions, ice shows, concerts, and dramatic and artistic productions.
