Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the newest and fifth-largest covered field sports stadium in the world, but its size is not the most striking quality. The Mercedes-Benz is one of the few stadiums with multi-purpose eight-panel retractable roofs, and more than that, it holds the record of the world’s largest halo board. The cutting-edge design of the stadium’s outside appearance resembles a pinwheel surrounded by glass walls.
The stadium is located in Atlanta, Georgia and is being operated by the AMB Group, the parent organization of NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United FC. After the demolition of NFL indoor arena Georgia Dome, Falcons found a new home in the Mercedes-Benz stadium when it officially opened on August 2017 and when the 98th NFL season kicked off. In 2019, the stadium would host the Super Bowl LIII. But football aside, it also hosts men’s college basketball, concerts, and soccer games in the form of SEC Championship.
