Goodison Park

Goodison Park

The Goodison Park has hosted the highest number of top-flight games than any other stadium in England, this is due to the indisputable fact that Everton, the stadium’s home team, is one of the top-tier teams in the Premier League since 1954. The team only failed to compete in the top division for four seasons when they were relegated in 1930 and 1951.

The first football match in the stadium was in 1892, between Everton and Bolton Wanderers, but the first official league game took place the same year when Everton faced the Nottingham Forest. Since the occurrence of that historical moment, Goodison Park has also been the venue for FA Cup finals, World Cup, US baseball league, and boxing events. Interestingly, the establishment’s owners also allow special events like weddings and funerals to culminate in Goodison Park.
