Chesapeake Energy Arena

Chesapeake Energy Arena

Originally known as the Ford Center, the Chesapeake Energy Arena is conveniently located in downtown Oklahoma City, the strongest-performing metropolitan area in the United States. It is owned and managed by the state itself so it openly provides services for the local community, but only follows the minimum specifications for the NBA and NHL. Regardless, it accommodates 3,380 club seats, seven party suites, and 49 private suites.

Since 2008, the Chesapeake Energy Arena has been serving home venues for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA, the Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central Hockey League, and the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz of AF2. From 2005 to 2007, it served as the temporary home for the New Orleans Hornets when the New Orleans Arena was hit by Hurricane Katrina.
