Capital One Arena

Capital One Arena

The Capital One Arena is another indoor venue in the NBA. It is located in Washington, D.C and owned by Monumental Sports & Entertainment. It’s the first NBA stadium with the “first true indoor high-definition LED scoreboard”, and one of the few venues in the United States that was largely considered as a commercial success and as one of the driving catalysts of the revitalization of Washington’s Chinatown neighborhood.

The primary residents of the arena are the Washington Wizards of the NBA, the Washington Capitals of the NHL, the men’s basketball team of Georgetown University, and the Washington Valor of the Arena Football League. Because of its location in downtown D.C., it’s a top choice for prestigious sports and entertainment events such as Stanley Cup finals, All-Star games, NCAA hockey championships, and World Figure Skating tournaments.
