American Airlines Center

American Airlines Center

Not to be confused with Miami Heat’s American Airlines Arena, the American Airlines Center is a multi-purpose venue located in the Victory Park neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. The facility of the arena features a traditional design of brick facades and smooth arches, an interior design with retractable seating and public art, and a Quonset hut-like roof holding the “Hangar” for American Airlines. Together, this impressive architectural art has been graced with multiple international awards including the 2004 Texas Topping Out Award and the 2003 Society of American Registered Architects Design Award.

The American Airlines Center houses the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA and the Dallas Stars of the NHL. It was one of the venues in the basketball rivalry between Heat and Dallas which was nicknamed by many as the “American Airlines Series”. Other than sports events, the arena is also used for concerts and other live entertainments.
