Buffalo Bills Pull Off Upset Of The Decade After Hammering The Vikings

The Buffalo Bills pulled of possibly one of the greatest upsets in the NFL since the shocking win of the Redskins against the Cowboys in 1995. Buffalo, a 16.5-point underdog to the Vikings, turned the tables around and annihilated the Minnesota Vikings 27-6 in front of the U.S. Bank Stadium crowd.

Buffalo’s upset was the most notable single-game NFL turbulence since 1995, based on the point spread. It is almost impossible to remember a more unexpected outcome in a professional football match. Not only was Buffalo testing a rookie quarterback in Josh Allen, but they were also facing the defense-laden Vikings without the assistance of their number one offensive player LeSean McCoy behind a mediocre offensive line. The Vikings are rated top-three defense in the league on the road in one of the hardest home crowds to play in front of.

And yet, the scoreline begs to say otherwise. The Bills almost left the Vikings scoreless, but Minnesota was able to steal a touchdown during the closing stages of the fourth quarter. Buffalo spent most of the time up top, disappointing the Vikings’ fans. More than that, this puts the Bills at a more advantageous position heading to the Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

It’s difficult to grasp that this was the easiest win on the NFL schedule so far in the season. The Bills were clinging onto a 16.5-point underdog number, which makes them just the 13th two-touchdown dog to win outright since 1995.

The Bills now claim their first win of the season after their losing their first two matches against the Ravens and the Chargers, respectively. Could this be the win that the Bills need in order to attain bigger achievements this season?
