Head Coach: Pete Carroll
The Seattle Seahawks is a team based in Seattle, Washington, and compete in the NFL’s National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The Seahawks stepped inside the NFL circle in 1976 as an expansion team. Since 2002, the team has hosted games at CenturyLink Field, located south of downtown Seattle.
The Seahawks are the only NFL team in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, which draws the support of the area towards the team. Since the introduction of the team in the NFL, the Seahawks have won 10 division titles, three conference championships, and are the only team to have played in both the AFC and NFC Championship Games. They have attended three Super Bowl matches: defeating the Denver Broncos for their first championship, and losing the remaining two against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XL and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.
