The Philadelphia Eagles is an NFL franchise based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They compete in the league as part of the National Football Conference (NFC) East division. First introduced in 1933, the franchise was then a planned replacement for the bankrupt Frankford Yellow Jackets. The team has an intense rivalry with the New York Giants and is one of the oldest rivalries in the NFC East and the entire NFL.
The Eagles claimed their first Super Bowl championship title in 2018. Among its achievements are four league championships that include three pre-1970 AFL-NFL merger titles won in 1948, 1949, and 1960 and one Super Bowl championship, NFL East and NFC East division championships that total to 13 titles, one NFL Eastern conference championship, three NFC championships, and 25 playoff appearances.
Among the NFL teams, the Eagles rank among the top in attendance and have sold out every match since the 1999 season.
