Head Coach: Pat Shurmur
The New York Giants are based in the New York metropolitan area and competes in the NFL as a representative of the National Football Conference (NFC) East division. They are the only remaining group from one of five teams that joined the NFL in 1925.
The Giants currently ranks third among all NFL franchises with eight NFL championship titles–four of which came before the Super Bowl era (1957, 1934, 1938, 1956) and four since the introduction of the Super Bowl (Super Bowl XXI, XXV, XLII, XLVI). Furthermore, the Giants have more appearances in the championship than any other team, totaling to 19 appearances.
One of the biggest rivalries in the NFL lies between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. It is the oldest of the NFC East rivalries, tracing its history back to 1933, and is considered to be the best rivalry in the NFL in the 21st century.
