The Miami Dolphins is an NFL team based in Miami and competes in the NFL as part of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. They are Florida’s oldest professional sports team. All Dolphins home matches are held at the Hard Rock Stadium.

The Dolphins started their campaign in the AFL in 1966 and are the only team in the AFC East division that was not a charter member of the AFL. They made their first appearance in the Super Bowl in its sixth edition but eventually lost to the Dallas Cowboys 24-3. The following year, the Dolphins achieved the NFL’s only perfect season closing in a Super Bowl win, winning all 14 regular-season matches, three playoffs games, and ultimately, the Super Bowl VII. After claiming their first Super Bowl trophy, they successfully defended the title, recording a perfect regular season and the Super Bowl VIII title.
