Head Coach: Bill O’Brien

The Houston Texans is a Texas-based NFL team competing in the league as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) South division. All home games of the Houston Texans are played at the NRG Stadium.

The team first saw the light of the NFL in 2002 as an expansion team. This makes the Texans the youngest franchise currently competing in the NFL. Previous NFL franchise Houston Oilers gave up their position to make way for the Texans, while the former moved to Nashville Tennessee and is now recognized as the Tennessee Titans.

The Texans struggled to keep up with the competition in the early 2000s. They later found success in the 2011 season, after claiming their first playoff ticket and would later on win their first division championship. The Texans would go on to achieve three more AFC South Championships titles in 2012, 2015, and 2016. But in spite of the recent success, the team is yet to make an appearance in a conference championship match.
