Head Coach: Dave Joerger
The Sacramento Kings compete in the NBA as part of the Western Conference’s Pacific Division. The Kings are the sole team in the major professional North American sports leagues situated in Sacramento. The team plays all home games at the Golden 1 Center, located in Downtown Sacramento, California.
The Kings are one of the longest-standing professional basketball franchises in the league. They were originally established in Rochester, New York, as the Rochester Seagrams in 1923 and joined the NBA in 1945 as the Rochester Royals. They moved to the Basketball Association of America, a forefather of the NBA, in 1948. The team met notable achievements as the Royals, winning the NBA championship in 1951. However, after the team relocated multiple times from 1957 up until it moved to Sacramento in 1985, the Kings are yet to find noteworthy achievements in the league.
