The Portland Trail Blazers, also referred to as the Blazers, are based in Portland, Oregon. The franchise competes in the league as a member of the Western Conference Northwest Division. All home matches of the Blazers are hosted in Moda Center, Portland, Oregon.
First seen in the NBA in 1970 as an expansion team, the Blazers remain the only NBA team located in the binational Pacific Northwest, after the Vancouver Grizzlies moved to Memphis and was renamed to the Memphis Grizzlies, and the Seattle SuperSonics relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Blazers earned their place in the NBA Finals three times, winning once in 1977, while the other two in 1990 and 1992. In all, the Blazers has qualified for the playoffs 34 times, which features a streak of 21 straight appearances, 3 conference titles, and 6 division titles.
