The Orlando Magic is a team based in Orlando, Florida and competes in the NBA as part of the league’s Eastern Conference Southeast Division. Established in 1989, the franchise entered the league as an expansion team. Some of the notable names to wear the Orlando Jerse includes NBA stars Shaquille O’Neal, Penny Hardaway, Patrick Ewing, Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady, Dwight Howard, Steve Francis, and Vince Carter.
The Magic has appeared in 14 playoffs out of its 28 years of existence in the league, and attended two NBA Finals, in 1995 and 2009, losing on both occasions. The 1995 playoffs saw Orlando Magic play against the Houston Rockets, while they faced the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009. Ultimately, Orlando has been the second most successful expansion team out of the four franchises that entered the league in 1988 and 1999 in terms of winning percentage.
