Entering the NBA in 1988 as an expansion team after receiving a grant from the NBA in 1987, the Miami Heat started to take part in the league in November 1998 and began their early campaigns without any notable accomplishments and only making the playoffs two times in their first eight years and getting eliminated in the first round both times.
The Heat records three league championship titles, won in 2006, 2012, and 2013. Among its achievements also include five conference titles, thirteen division titles, and the third-longest win streak in NBA history with twenty-seven regular season games in 2013.
