Sociedad Deportiva Huesca, S.A.D., or SD Huesca, is a club based in Huesca. Founded in 1960, SD Huesca plays in the La Liga and hosts their home games at the Estadio El Alcoraz.
Looking back at its history, in 1910 Huesca CF was established, but folded 16 years later after joining the Royal Spanish Football Federation in 1922. But in 1929, CD Huesca, changing its name to Union Deportiva in 1940, took its place. However, the club again disbanded in 1956 due to lack of resources. On March 1960 Sociedad Deportiva Huesca was born, first playing in the Segunda Division in 1977.
During the 2006/07 season, the club was promoted to the second level of the Spanish football system. The club moved from second to the third division before moving up to the La Liga after the 2017/18 season when SD Huesca after winning the promotion playoffs against Lugo.
