Head Coach: Quique Setien
Real Betis Balompié, or Real Betis, is a club based in Seville. It was founded on September 1907 and plays in the top-flight division of the Spanish football system. Betis was a result of an internal split from Sevilla FC. In 1914, they merged with Sevilla Balompié and received its royal patronage the same year. As a result, they adopted the name Real Betis Balompié.
The club has a long-standing rivalry with nearby club Sevilla FC. The two have faced each other 114 times, with Sevilla holding a 45% win ratio over Betis.
Real Betis wear green and white home kits to honor their manager Paddy O’Connell, who was from Ireland and is responsible for leading the team to the division title in 1934 by one point over Real Madrid. In addition to their league title, Betis also won the Copa del Rey in 1977 and 2005.
