Coach: Stanislav Cherchesov
As the hosting country for the 2018 World Cup, Russia automatically qualifies for the tournament. This marks their fourth appearance in the World Cup, after 1994, 2002, and 2014. In addition to that, Russia also qualified for five European Championships. However, not counting the record of the Soviet Union national side, they’ve only passed the group stages of a major tournament just once when they played Spain and suffered a 3-0 loss.
