Fußball-Club Augsburg 1907 e. V., more recognized as FC Augsburg, is a German football club based in Augsburg, Bavaria. The club plays in the top tier of the German football league system and was founded in 1907. However, before it was known as FC Augsburg, the club was founded as Fußball-Klub Alemania Augsburg and played as BC Augsburg from 1921 to 1969.
FC Augsburg is a club that moved back and forth the second and third division. The team experienced hard times in the early 2000s, dropping to the fourth division for two seasons. FCA bounced back from this, returning to professional football in 2006. By the end of the 2010/11 season, Augsburg was promoted to the top tier of the Bundesliga for the first time.
The club will be sporting familiar white and green kits. The home colors feature white shirts, shorts, and socks, while the away kits will feature green shorts, shorts, and socks.
